Abstract: Following a proposal of ICUMSA President G. Vaccari, advantages of unique identifier numbers (ID numbers) for ICUMSA method descriptions were demonstrated and a possible step-by-step procedure for introduction of ID numbers was itemised. Further a status table was proposed, showing the status of Methods in the relevant General Subjects.
